In the list of National Football teams made public by the FIFA today Armenia has progressed for four steps and is currently in the 119th place. This year Armenia has played two official matches and tied in both of them (Panama-Armenia 1:1 and Andorra-Armenia 0:0).

Armenian football team tied with the team of Andorra 0:0. The result was rather unexpected as prior to this meeting our team had held five meetings with the semi-professional team of Andorra and they all ended with Armenia’s victory.

Best football player 2005 of Armenia Aram Hakobyan has signed a contract with FC «Ilichevets» from Ukraine. Hakobyan has been playing in the club from Mariupol for some time after which the authorities of the club offered him a one-year contract. The club is currently in the 13th place in the Ukrainian championship. The team intends to preserve its place in the higher league.

Karen Dokhoyan, the skilled half-back of the Armenian football team, will likely play in “Anji”, the team of Makhalchkala. Reminder,the latter will participate in the first group meetings of the Russian championship.
